About Us

Our Story

For more than two decades, Northcote Baby has been supporting parents and their babies during the precious early months of life.

What began as a small local class has grown into a warm and welcoming community where parents and caregivers can learn gentle techniques to support their baby’s comfort, development and wellbeing.

Over the years, many families have come through our doors, sharing those special early moments of connection, learning simple practices to help their babies relax, and finding reassurance alongside other parents experiencing the same beautiful and sometimes overwhelming stage of life.

At Northcote Baby, the focus has always been on creating a calm and nurturing environment where both babies and parents feel at ease. The classes combine gentle guidance with a relaxed atmosphere, allowing parents to slow down, tune in to their baby’s cues, and enjoy meaningful moments together.

At the heart of Northcote Baby has always been a simple belief. When parents feel supported, babies flourish.

Meet Your Instructor & Founder

Hello Mums, Dads and Caregivers,

My name is Sandra Pearce, and I’m the founder of Northcote Baby.

I am a member of the International Association of Infant Massage and a qualified Birthlight Baby Yoga Instructor. I’ve had the privilege of supporting parents and caregivers for over 23 years.

I’m also a mum to two beautiful boys, so I bring not only professional knowledge but also the lived understanding that comes from being in the thick of those early months myself. I know how joyful, overwhelming, emotional, and beautifully messy this season of life can feel, often all within the same hour.

At Northcote Baby, my goal is to create a warm, nurturing, and supportive space where parents and babies can slow down, breathe, and enjoy meaningful moments together. Through baby massage and yoga, I focus on your baby’s comfort, development, and wellbeing while also helping parents feel confident, connected, and supported. Every class is designed to be relaxed, practical, and inclusive, with a gentle social element so parents can meet, share experiences, and build friendships that often last long after the baby days.

Kind Words From Our Families

Here’s what parents and caregivers have to say about their experience at Northcote Baby.

“My baby Tom will really miss Sandra’s massage/yoga workshop – he was so happy in her calm vibes! Her variety of baby sleep tips have been invaluable in establishing a relaxing routine for us both and I would definitely recommend this course.”
Polly Anne Duncan and Baby Tom
“Thank you Sandra for the amazing baby massage course. Thank you also for the superb tips on helping me understand sleep signs and winding tips. Course is a must for new mums… Thank you from baby Charlotte too.”
Rachel Mumby and Baby Charlotte
“Thank you Sandra for a fantastic sleep workshop last week. By putting in place a bedtime routine and dream feed, my eight-week-old Edward is now sleeping from 7–7 (or thereabouts) with just one night waking. He is also learning to self-settle which is great.”
